PRE-TREATMENT
Refrain from waxing, bleaching, tweezing, and using hair removal treatment
Avoid anti-inflammatory medications or pain relievers that are blood thinners such as Aspirin, Advil, or Motrin a week before treatment
Avoid all over-the-counter herbal supplements and vitamins a week before treatment.
Avoid drinking alcohol, coffee, or tea one day before the appointment.
POST-CARE
Strip your skin-care routine down to the basics: a gentle cleanser and a simple, hydrating moisturizer; but don’t wash your face for at least six hours after your treatment, to allow the PRP time to sink in.
Avoid direct sun exposure and be diligent about applying sunscreen. Physical sunblocks that contain zinc oxide and titanium dioxide are less likely to irritate.
Avoid make-up for at least 48 hours.
Don’t work up a sweat. Sweat contains bacteria that can aggravate sensitive skin.
Continue to avoid alcohol and any anti-inflammatory medications as these substances will disrupt the natural inflammatory process, which is essential and responsible for the rejuvenation of your skin.
