NEUROMODULATORS
Neuromodulators, such as Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, and Nuceiva, are popular treatments for reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. These treatments work by temporarily relaxing the muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles, providing a smoother and more youthful appearance. Neuromodulators can also effectively address overactive muscles such as clenching in TMJ, and excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis). We strive for:
Natural Results: Achieve subtle, natural-looking improvements.
Quick and Effective: Enjoy noticeable results with minimal downtime.
Preventative Care: Delay the formation of new wrinkles.
Common areas of neuromodulator treatment:
Forehead Lines
Frown Lines
Crow's Feet
Brow Lift
Bunny Lines
Gummy Smile
Lip Lines (Smoker’s Lines)
Marionette Lines
Chin Dimpling
Neck Bands (Platysmal Bands)
Jawline/Masseter Slimming
Excessive Sweating (Hyperhidrosis)
Risks And Adverse Effects
Neuromodulator treatments are one of the safest non-surgical procedures performed when injected by a qualified medical professional. The single most important adverse effect is botulism which can occur as a result of improper dose injection causing difficulty with swallowing and breathing. The main complication of neuromodulator injections is procedural, in that “unwanted results” may occur. These may include temporary facial nerve paralysis, facial asymmetry, and restricted smile in this particular treatment. There may be redness, pain, and swelling associated with the site of injection which is all short-lived and spontaneously resolves.
